[Ammosexuals and "not all gun owners,"  please just skip.  I'm fucking sick of hearing it, and for once, I WILL just fucking unfriend people.  I can't deal with it any more.]

2 men in 48 hours.  I watched the news this morning and went to work with red eyes from crying.

I came home, opened up FB, and saw an article about a shooting in my hometown.  A guy just opened fired for no apparent reason, wounding four and killing one.

He killed my friend David's wife.  She was on her way to her second job (she has a paper delivery route).  She leaves behind two young kids...and my friend.

Three sets of children were left without a parent today.  Three families shattered.

Do your gorram guns matter that much?

O no... that is so awful. I am very sorry. I don't know what will turn things around. I don't know if it is even possible. But we have to do something.

There was a second shooting in my hometown last night...two blocks from my mother's house.

I don't even know what to think. Or feel.

Oh G-d, I am so so sorry.

I'm so so sorry. So sorry. It has such far reaching, unexpected consequences. For every life that's ended, so many others are never the same again.

Aw, man. My condolences.

And I could not agree more, it has to stop.

Fuck. I'm so sorry.

There was also a shooting about five miles away from me. A four year old was killed. This was not related to the police like the Baton Rouge and MN shootings, but I think the victims were also Persons of color.

These senseless acts have me terrified about the state of everything.

I don't know what else to say except that I'm so, so sorry. I can't even imagine what this must be like for you.

David was (is) one of what we called "The Bristol Royalty." first guy in our group to settle down with a "norm" from one of the county schools.

I didn't know J well, because they got together well after I fled town for good (I thought). But I remember the wedding. I remember running into them both in Walmart right after I got divorced and moved in with Granma and Grandpa. She was pregnant with Baby 2 and so happy. So radiant.

She sent me a sympathy card when Granma died.

I don't know whatto send to David. Or the boys.

you are in my thoughts for healing
and the others

I'm so sorry about your friend's wife. I will never understand this obsession with firearms. It scares me.

I'm sorry about your friend's wife, and her kids. This is tragic.

Oh God, I'm so sorry!!! *hugs* And, yeah, all those private gun lovers need to be put in one big ghetto and then let evolution and extinction take its course :-(

In our town this week we had a woman attack a 6-year-old with a kitchen knife. It's horrible, the kid is still not out of danger, but at times like this I think at least the mad woman didn't have access to guns, ever.

That was terrible. This violence is getting way out of hand lately.
