Actually, y'all ARE beautiful...but the weather fucking sucks.

Today was another one of those two shower days (I don't *even* wanna know what our water bill is gonna look like this month),  where just the feeling of Noxema wiping away the ick of near 100% humidity is practically orgasmic.

Or maybe that's just me.

So, it's another thrilling Friday night for me here at The Glass Asylum:  True Blood on dvd (I'm almost finished with season one), couple glasses of wine, leftovers from Kent's work (while nowhere near authentic, their Korean meatballs are mighty tasty.  I don't like them over the noodles they come with, but they're really good over rice) and an early bedtime...alone.

I hate this opposite schedules shit.  Yet another reason why I have to find a different job.  Kent's getting to where he stays up most nights (sometimes falling asleep in the living room) until I get up at ohgodsthirty, so he doesn't wake me up by coming to bed.

I am so done with this.

At least I have Sunday off.  My 4 week schedule had me off, then they changed the schedule THIS WEEK.  That's bullshit.  I got pissy and one of the other women said she'd take it, so I just gave it away.  I'm still running well over 80 hours per paycheck (closer to 90 most of the time).

{ETA:  Proof positive I need my Sunday:  I fell asleep writing this entry}

Hope you find something else soon. It's really rough having such opposite schedules from your spouse.

Hugs and enjoy Sunday twice as much! How much longer is Kent on his schedule or are you thinking of shifting jobs?

I hope you find something that lets you spend more time together, with a *greatly* reduced stress level.

My Mom and Dad worked opposite shifts when I was little. Mom taught school and Dad was a cop working second shift, so they'd just kind of hand us over at the door. Of course, then Dad was a trucker for most of the rest of my growing up period, so maybe they just didn't want to spend that much time together. LOL

How frustrating for you! I hope you can change things soon.

Come to California! We're hot as heck right now, but at least it's a dry heat. :)

*g* I was actually born in Oceanside. Even though I did the majority of my growing up in the south, I am fairly certain I am not designed to cope with this level of humidity.

Gotta say I don't miss North Carolina summers...

Stay cool (not that anything else would be possible, but we're talking thermodynamics here)!
