I'll take things I never thought I'd say for $1000, Alex.

(Also, heal quickly, Mr. Trebek.)

We've got a relatively new resident who likes to wander out of his room fully dressed....from the waist up.  Oh, and socks.  Waist to ankles, however...

The Girl Gang has started shaming him back into his room with cries of "No one wants to see that!"  "Put your pants back on!" Etc, etc, etc.  We're trying to get him moved to another facility, because that's not the only problem (massive flight risk, combative, steals anything not nailed down, PTSD, and a family that won't listen to the fact that, as a secured unit, WE HAVE RULES.  Starting with do not give him anything in a &^%%^& glass bottle)

Big Boss M came back after one of these incidents and wanted to know what the ruckus was about.  Proof that I need more sleep (or less caffeine.  Time to lay off the Morning Thunder tea.  Turns out mate makes me a little giddy), I said the line in the title.  Lucky for me, M has a warped sense of humor, and thought it was hilarious.

Never a dull moment....

Somehow, I managed to get Friday off as well as not having to work the weekend.    Boy, have I needed this!  It's just been me puttering around in my new fuzzy socks ($1/pr. at Walgreens.  My feet--and the spousebeast's--are in heaven!), making yummy food, and playing with my massive stack of writing/journalling prompt books.

Now, if only I wasn't filled with dread over who I have to work with tomorrow....

I confess, I read the subject line and was wondering what Trump had done now.

Oy. That new resident does not sound appealing at all. Hope he gets transferred to somewhere else, because from the sound of it he's going to be a real danger, especially with a family like that. RULES ARE THERE FOR A REASON, PEOPLE.

Oh wow--the new resident is not very good to have to work with huh?

Glad you have off for a bit before you head back.

Enjoy the fuzzy slippers and puttering around.

My maternal grandfather was kicked out of three nursing homes for violence before he finally passed - due to a "botched" operation according to my truth avoidant mother. The one he ended at had a resident that was willing to fill in for his dead wife as his sexual partner, so that may have taken down his bully level. In the three before he was beating up men who paid any attention to women.

I lolled at the subject line. Glad your boss has that kind of sense of humor!

"He's the walking geriatric version of an unsolicited dick pic"

I think I'll borrow that phrase and adapt it for my FIL. He's the talking geriatric version of an unsolicited dick pic. He is very good at embarrassing everyone, including himself, with his unsolicited comments and questions.

People and rules, yes. Everyone thinks they don't apply to them.

my next door neighbor had to be removed from the house by the police and put a special nursing home. he was in his 70's and as his dementia got worse he started to get violent. it started with accusing his wife of moving things or hiding things from him when he couldn't find them. and ended up with her locking herself in a bathroom while her adult daughter called the cops and tried to run interference with him while he tried taking the hinge pins out of the door to get to his wife.

hope your weekend was wonderfully relaxing.
